Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2027
An All-New Silverado 1500
Chevrolet has revealed the next-generation 2027 Silverado 1500, calling it the most powerful and advanced Silverado ever built. Shaped by more than 100 years of truck expertise, the new Silverado is redesigned inside and out while keeping the V8 performance and dependability Chevy truck owners have trusted for generations. Here is what stands out from the reveal.
Two All-New V8s
Next-generation 5.7L and 6.6L V8 engines lead the most capable powertrain lineup Silverado has ever offered, including what Chevrolet calls the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 in its class.
Seven-Trim Lineup
A simplified, easier-to-shop range from the fleet-ready Work Truck to the flagship High Country, with three factory-lifted off-road trims for the first time.
Digital Interior
A standard 16.3-inch center display and 12.2-inch driver display anchor a modern cockpit that still keeps the physical buttons and knobs drivers use every day.
Bolder Design
An all-new exterior with new LED headlights and taillights, a more planted stance, and more monochromatic, premium styling across the lineup.
New From Grille To Tailgate
The 2027 Silverado introduces an all-new exterior with a bolder, more commanding stance and a more premium, monochromatic look. Chevrolet describes the design as a thoughtful evolution: unmistakably Silverado, but stronger and more modern at first glance.
New Lighting Signatures
New signature LED headlamps with a walk-up animation and full LED taillamps, supported by a black tailgate applique and a redesigned third brake light for added visibility.
Refined Aerodynamics
A cleaner, flush sliding rear window and a new spoiler give the truck a more refined, integrated look while improving aerodynamics. The spoiler also incorporates an integrated OnStar antenna.
Standard Dual Exhaust
Dual exhaust tips are standard on Custom and above, reinforcing a more refined yet authentically capable presence.
Wider, Tougher Stance
More pronounced wheel-opening moldings and rocker treatments, plus a bold new front fascia and grille, give the truck a wider on-road look and trim-specific character.
The Most Capable Lineup Ever
At the heart of the new Silverado is what Chevrolet calls its most capable and refined powertrain lineup ever, built on more than 70 years of V8 experience and over 100 million engines produced. The 2027 Silverado 1500 continues to offer four powertrains. Horsepower, torque, towing, and fuel economy figures will be announced later this year.
Next-Gen 5.7L V8
One of two all-new V8 engines, stepping in for the outgoing 5.3L V8. Completely reimagined and engineered for serious work and confident towing.
Next-Gen 6.6L V8
The second all-new V8, taking over from the 6.2L V8, and part of what Chevrolet says is the most powerful naturally aspirated V8 offering in the class.
2.7L TurboMax
An enhanced 2.7L TurboMax, now paired with a 10-speed transmission, delivering what Chevrolet calls best-in-class standard torque.
Duramax 3.0L Diesel
The proven, segment-exclusive Duramax 3.0L Turbo-Diesel returns for efficiency and long-haul capability.
Seven Trims, More Clear Choices
The 2027 Silverado 1500 lineup runs from value-focused workhorses to expressive off-road trucks to a premium flagship. In response to demand, Chevrolet nearly doubled its factory-lifted off-road offerings, which now number three: ZR2, Trail Boss, and Custom Trail Boss.
Work Truck
Purpose-built for fleets and commercial operators, engineered around uptime, easy-to-clean interiors, and simple operation across large fleets.
Custom
Strong full-size value with the essentials most customers want, now including dual exhaust and 20-inch Technical Gray machine-faced wheels.
Silverado
Formerly the LT, now simply Silverado. Aimed at the heart of the market, with the Z71 package standard on 4WD models for added off-road confidence.
Custom Trail Boss
An attainable entry into authentic off-road style, with a 2-inch factory lift and 34-inch tires.
Trail Boss
Real off-road presence with 34-inch MT tires, a 2-inch factory lift, a dedicated off-road hood, and two new unique interior themes.
ZR2 & ZR2 Bison
The most off-road-capable ZR2 ever: 35-inch MT tires, a 2-inch lift, front and rear e-lockers, Multimatic DSSV dampers with jounce dampers, and real forged carbon-fiber trim. The available Bison Edition, built with AEV, adds heavy-duty bumpers, skid plates, and beadlock-capable wheels.
High Country
A more modern, athletic take on the flagship, with a new badge, an exclusive Tritan Satin grille, standard 22-inch After Midnight wheels, a Silverado-first panoramic sunroof, real wood decor, and available microfiber suede.
A Modern, Connected Cabin
Every 2027 Silverado 1500 features a modern digital cockpit designed around what truck buyers actually use, with bigger screens balanced by real physical controls.
Big Standard Screens
A class-leading 16.3-inch center display and a 12.2-inch driver information display are standard across the lineup, creating an edge-to-edge digital command center.
Passenger Display
A first for Chevy: an available 11.5-inch front passenger screen, standard on ZR2 and High Country. With the head-up display and rear camera mirror, ZR2 and High Country offer over 60 inches of digital displays.
Multi-Flex Console
A reconfigurable Multi-Flex center console offers nearly 25 liters of storage, movable cup holders, and a deployable armrest that converts into a workspace.
Dual Wireless Charging
Available dual wireless phone charging keeps two devices powered, part of a premium yet intuitive interior across the lineup.
Super Cruise With Trailering
Super Cruise hands-free driving now works while towing. No other competitor in the class offers a hands-free driving system with trailering capability.
Panoramic Sunroof
A Silverado-first panoramic sunroof debuts on High Country, alongside light and dark interior themes and premium materials.
What Changed, And What Is Just Rumor
There is a lot of speculation online about the next-generation Silverado. Here are clear answers based on what Chevrolet has actually confirmed at the reveal.
LT Is Now "Silverado"
The trim formerly known as LT is now simply called Silverado for 2027. If you are searching for the 2027 LT, this is the trim you want.
RST, LTZ & LT Trail Boss Are Gone
The lineup was simplified for 2027. The RST, LTZ, and LT Trail Boss names are no longer part of the trim walk. Off-road buyers now choose Custom Trail Boss, Trail Boss, or ZR2.
This Is The Gas & Diesel Truck
The 2027 Silverado 1500 here uses V8, TurboMax, and Duramax diesel power. The Silverado EV is a separate, electric model. Chevrolet has not announced a hybrid version of this truck.
HD Is A Different Truck
The Silverado 2500HD and 3500HD are separate heavy-duty models with their own lineup. This page covers the light-duty Silverado 1500.
