Roni Younus was born in Iraq. He came to the United States 17 years ago and has spent the last ten of those years in San Diego, where he now calls El Cajon home — a city with deep cultural ties to his own.

Roni has lived in San Diego for ten years and currently calls El Cajon home. The location matters: El Cajon is home to one of the largest Chaldean communities outside the Middle East, and Roni's roots in the language and the culture make him a familiar, comfortable point of contact for that community.
What he loves about San Diego is the beach — and the way it adapts to your mood. A laid-back morning. A longer afternoon. Or, as he puts it, an evening that's basically a reset button.
