The staff in the service department were very courteous and helpful. The software patch on my Tahoe that was part of a recall notice was fixed, and I was on my way home within fifteen minutes of my arrival. Could not have gone better. The lounge area is top notch as well.

Second Corvette that I ordered and bought through Bob Stall and had an exceptional delivery experience with Scott Lardner both times. He took his time in going through all the functions of the car, and if he didn't know an answer to my questions he found the answer onsite. My only concern was that my car was shown listed online for sale at the dealership before I took delivery, which was unsettling. I understand that is a corporate policy and function, but I would recommend that policy not continue, even if the car is known to be sold and not shown to potential buyers.

Biggest disappointment was not being expressed the cost of just a diagnosis. I have dropped off my vehicle at other dealerships and local places and was never charged for a diagnosis like this. It probably took 15min to diagnose and I paid $210 which was never discussed with me I would have to pay if I denied any service. Very disappointed.

I had an appointment for tire rotation and safety checks ( no oil change), which took almost 3 hours. I requested shuttle so the service advisor took down my name; the driver supposed to call me when he returned. I was waiting for more almost 3 hours and there was no shuttle. I wish he would have told me there was no shuttle so I could have got an Uber home. Not a very good experience.

Our salesman, Mo Aitah, was exceptional. He did a great job helping us order our 2025 Tahoe equipped exactly how we wanted it. He thoroughly explained all the options and features and helped set up everything. We had a minor glitch with the vehicle the next day and Mo stepped up and got us taken care of with the service department and a loaner vehicle. On the service repair, the Service department was very quick and thorough in repairing our vehicle.

Women at service on the phone was annoyed by because I didn’t know my service person. She had no patience for me on the phone I felt like I was a bother. My car came out dirty from the shop did not get washed and the service technician was to happy that I ask for a wash. Not a good experience. I went with my family including 2 kids under 5. The dealership itself was comfortable and clean. Aaron was great, he brought out the cars I wanted to see and parked them side by side for me to go back and forth looking at. He helped streamline the entire process and made it really simple. I have been a GM and more importantly Chevrolet enthusiast since 1960. I know my cars and I know good service when I see it. Over the years the service representatives I have dealt with are Mary Jimenez, Patrick Duffey and fo course Rose. As a team they are second to done. THey take care of each and every customer as if they are family. I have witnessed over the years that in many cases that is not the case. I am just fortunate to have landed with this dealership. I do not know who the service Manager and because of the great work by the three I mentioned I do not need to know who the service manager is. I own 2 1963 Corvette Split Window Coupes that I display around the country(including Detroit where I have met many of the GM higher ups) and they know when I am not satisfied with any dealership I have had to stop for service. The only dealership that I can say is as worthy of praise as Bob Stall that I have dealt with is MacMulkin Chevrolet in Nashua, NH. There is a reason they are the top dealerships, great service not only in the service department but also in sales, parts and the body shop.

Received an email from Bob Stall Chevrolet dealership on 6/18/25 regarding the recent GM recall on the 6.2 engines needing inspection, oil change and/or replacement. Made the requested appointment for 6/19/25 @ 8 AM. Vehicle was checked in and approximately 30 minutes later, I was advised that the dealership wasn’t prepared for this particular warranty recall? Showed the service advisor the email I had received; she was just as confused as I was?

It seemed quick but also like I was being rushed out since they had scratched the front bumper of the car when I was on my way there to pick it up. It is a brand new car that the dealership scratched after I already completed the purchase over the phone/internet. They of course are very friendly in person, but now I am having a hard time getting this issue with the damaged bumper resolved. When I was there, instead of sitting down in the office to sign papers, I was asked to do it standing outside. I have also not yet received copies of any of my paperwork despite being assured I would and then following up to ask for them to be sent.

My advisor was extremely rude and would tell me one thing, and when I would repeat what he said and then ask a follow-up question, he would say, "I didn't say that." He treated me as though I were just another number on his list, and didn't care about my situation. Many of the issues could have been resolved if I had been informed that I would need to leave my car for the full day when I called and made the appointment over the phone. The service technicians are in the customer service field, and my technician is clearly in the wrong field and should not be dealing with people.

I’m not a big Chevy guy, was actually leaning towards the Ram1500, but Walt McGrath sold me on the Silverado. He made me feel like he was family, not a sales guy. I took my 2012 Chevrolet Equinox LS to Bob Stall Chevrolet in La Mesa because I have had them do service on my vehicle before under the service advisement of Miss Rosalie Wells. I thought that my transmission was out due to a lot of noise and my vehicle would not move in any gear. Miss Rose advised me that my front wheel drive axles went out and that my water pump was gone too. After those were installed Miss Rose advised me that my front end suspension was too dangerous to drive and asked if I wanted everything inspected. I agreed. Miss Rose found out that my lower control arms and stabilizer bar needed replaced and asked if I wanted them to continue repairs. I agreed. They had my car for about a month in which the entire time Miss Rose kept in contact with me giving me updates as they went along. An alignment was necessary as well. Now that I have my vehicle back I promise you when I say that it feels like I am driving a brand new vehicle. My entire front end feels nice, tight and steering is unbelievable. Brakes have been bled so perfectly that I could stop on a dime. I find Bob Stall Chevrolet in La Mesa to be the best of professionals that I have found. Miss Rose is great at her position and I will not take my vehicle anywhere else. After all I will not drive anything but a Chevy! Thank you guys for keeping me a satisfied customer!!!

Unfortunately my last service at Bob Stall may very well be my last there. Every single time I have the oil changed, my vehicle is delivered back to me with oil/grease on the exterior and several times with oil/grease on both the exterior and interior. I have brought it up to the service advisor but it continues every time. I drive 45 minutes to this dealer for service and have been truly disappointed.

Had my Silverado towed to the dealership after having it at another shop where after 1 week they were unable to diagnose the issue. After calling and speaking with Mary, she let know that they would troubleshoot and best as they could. She was clear with her communication about costs and what was happening to my truck and when. When it was all said and done, it took 3 days to complete the work and had my truck back to me. You guys even had my truck ready a day earlier than promised.

Car repair was done well. My only complaint was that I had to wait 45 minutes to get a ride home. The other Chevy dealer I used provided a Lyft ride in 3 minutes instead of having to wait fr their only driver to come back. Bob Stall was much better at getting my car fixed than the other dealer!

The whole experience felt disjointed and unprofessional. My wife and I were set on buying a specific car in a specific color--which we saw on the website. We arrived to the dealership and were able to test drive a similar vehicle because the one we saw online was apparently "in transit." They insisted we go inside to talk about numbers, then after about 20 minutes of waiting a "manager" came by and said he didn't want to talk anymore if we weren't seriously buying that evening. It left a sour taste in our mouths, but we were still interested in the vehicle. We remained in contact through to the weekend wherein we expressed we were ready to make a deal. We were ignored via the text chat all weekend long. Since it was Labor Day weekend, we insisted on arriving in person that Monday. When we arrived we were pawned off to someone else who we had never worked with before, so we had to explain our whole situation to him again. He rushed through the documents because "his customers were waiting for him." All the while, my wife and I were sitting in front of him trying to purchase a $50,000 vehicle. We asked about the financing options then he rushed through his manager's proposal. He did not point out or reiterate the financing rate before rushing us to sign. My wife had excellent credit (820) and he came back with an 8.4% APR financing rate. He did not explain or say anything other than telling us his other customer was waiting. I asked if the Karr Security system or the engraved windows were options that I could refuse. He responded they were not optional. If I didn't really want the car I would have walked away again. This was grossly unprofessional. Moreover, he strung us along about floor mats, referring us to the parts department--that he reassured us would give us a great deal on floor mats. I called every day for the next three days trying to reach someone and nobody answered. I finally got a call back and it was a mere 10% discount on a $650 total. Even further, when we went to the finance office, the representative was watching a baseball game. He half paid attention to us and half texted on his phone while running through the electronic signatures. This also felt grossly unprofessional to me. Overall I did not have a great, or even a good experience. However, I didn't necessarily have a bad experience. I have had plenty of better experiences at other dealerships. I would recommend buying from Bob Stall for the sole reason of competitive pricing and proximity to San Diego--definitely not for customer service.

I brought my 2023 Silverado in for Infotainment display issues. I was greeted by Pam in the Service Area who immediately grabbed her I-pad and went out accompanied me to my vehicle. After I explained the issues, she took her notes, completed the video walk around, and told me they would call when completed. The only issue I had is that I dropped it off at 0930 and by 4pm, it still was not serviced. I received a call from Pam explaining why and they would get on it first thing the next morning. I didn't need the truck so it was fine for them to keep it. The next morning I received a call around 10am from Pam saying they had found the issue and fixed the programming. I came down to pick it up and although I waited about 12 minutes, my vehicle was brought out with no issues. I would definitely recommend Bob Stall Chevrolet for service. Although once I saw how busy they were, I really don't think I need to; seems everyone else recommends them also.

I’m Not satisfied at all I made an appointment for an oil change and the service radio update. I gave the service bulletin that detect refers to the problem and solution for the anc vibration and update on my infotainment system for the apps. I recieved this info from another Chevy mechanics and equinox owners. I was told it would take two days from this dealership to just diagnose the issue. That is fine but when asked if there’s a loaner I was told no they don’t do loaners. I work 6 days a week and can’t get to work without a car. It’s sad that I buy a brand new vehicle from this dealership but can’t use a loaner for a couple days while it’s being serviced . This is sad to be honest . A loaner for anything more than a day should be the least a dealership can do when working on newly purchased vehicle . So I decided to only get the oil change and am dissatisfied that I’ll probably never get the anc problem and radio update because I can’t afford to not drive to work

I was told the diagnostic to my truck would take a day or two and it took over 2 weeks to get any sort of answer on what was wrong with my truck. I received my truck one month after I was told I would get it back. My service advisor would never answer the phone or call me back. Any time I wanted an update on my truck or wanted to discuss issues I had to come in person because no one would answer the phone. The service manager was rude when I spoke to him about issues I was having with my repairs. Every person I talked to about the repairs required to my truck said it was not covered by warranty but when I asked for them to show me where it says it is not covered, they could not. I had to call GM to get any support on these warranty claims. My overall experience was awful and I will never be coming back.

My experience at Bob Stall Chevrolet went beyond my expectations — I was very pleased with the outcome! Upon my arrival, I was greeted by Ali, the manager, and John, the dealer agent. Their professionalism was outstanding, and they made the entire car-leasing process delightful and easy. I usually don’t rate car dealerships very highly, but this team truly changed my mind. John handled every detail — from the paperwork to helping us select the right vehicle, explaining all the features, and even giving us a hands-on tutorial of the new car. After all the years of dealing with Chevrolet Dealers in SD we have found a dealership that meets our needs and guarantees what they service. We have been Chevrolet followers since 1960 and have run across dealers that are not very good, some a little better and Bob Stall which in our opinion is the best. How they got there is because of those that are the face of the dealership. Sales personnel are great and their finance department I believe headed by Billy are second to none. Once a vehicle is purchased the service department led by Rose(who will be retiring) and has been at this position for years will lose no quality once Mary Jimenez replaces her. We have known Mary Jimenez since she was working in the body shop. She knows everything about the needs of the dealership and more importantly the customers she serves. Mary is a born manager/leader, she knows how to treat the customer and those that will work in her team.She is a leader that leads by example and expects the same from those that work with her. She is a team leader(rare these days) that has the respect of the entire dealership. The same can be said for Billy in finance. We have been coming to Bob Stall for several years and have seen the positive changes take place. Not all GM dealerships can say that. Having a successful business is finding employees that work as a team. Not knowing the mechanics who currently work for the dealership we hope that team is as productive as those that are the face of the dealership. We are having three vehicles being serviced in the next week so we will soon if that department is as productive as those we just mentioned. If they were not, we are sure Rose who is currently the head of the service representatives and Mary who soon will be will make sure those that actually work on the cars do quality work(for sure both Rose and Mary and the other representatives do not want to hear complaints). These days finding and keeping those quality individuals is not easy. Too many incompetent technicians or those that are the face of the dealership out there that hopefully Bob Stall has no room for.

Rosalie the service writer was great! Sales on the other hand, it was the worst experience I have had, I really wanted to buy my THIRD corvette 2ND from Bob Stall. A little back story, I'm a Finance Manager for an auto dealership and worked at a Chevy dealership in SD. I buy a few cars every few years from AMGs, URUS, 355 Modena, Denali, and recently a 2025 AMG GT63 each of these cars with the exception of the GMC. Every car I have is well over $100k some are over $330k. It started with me seeing a ZR1 corvette which I wanted to see, I asked the Sales guy and desk manager if I can see the inside they both said NO! I was like even if I want to buy it? They both looked at me like no you can't.. I then pointed at my current 2024 Corvette and said that's mine then pointed at my 2024 Denali and said that's also mine do I not look like I can buy it? They finally opened it up I was still like whatever.. then maybe 2 minutes passed, salesman comes and tells me the General Manager doesn't want you to sit in it. I was in shock he stated he didn't want me to smell the it up!!! I told hime i have been to Ferrari dealerships in San Diego and they don't just let me sit in them they tell me to turn them on!! I felt completely discriminated, was it because i look mexican, or because i didn't look like i could buy? Policy or not worse sales tactic to use, Ferrari nor Mercedes-Benz of San Diego has treated me like this, I go to corvette meet up's and have recommended countless people to buy form Bob Stall now i will recommend them not to!

I have been aware of BOB STAHL in La Mesa California for years, as I had lived on both Lake Murray, and Jackson Drive in my past. I moved up to North County, Carlsbad and rarely get back to the old area of 47 years ago. When looking for my new 2026 Corvette, I was looking north up to Los Angeles, Bob Stahl became an option as well. I have a local Carlsbad dealer that was walkable to my place. but they didn't have the selection, color, or price for what I wanted. They also didn't have the professional attitude, that Bob Stahl had. (perhaps they thought I was not a serious buyer, as I just a purchased a BMW 740i for a Carlsbad dealership). Premier Chevrolet led me to take a look at Bob Stahl in a more serious sense. Salesman George Harb was outstanding, listening to my needs to help me find the exact car that I was looking for. He was patient and never pushy, stressing on customer satisfaction above everything else. He invited me down at my leisure, and was confident that I would get the right corvette, and at BOB STAHLs best price. I had shopped 2 Los Angeles dealerships, so that was a serious option. In meeting George, as well as Jamie the GM, and finance people Leslie Camarino and Mike Leslie, this dealership became a win -win all around. The sale there was going to be an all cash/ check deal, and the dealer even offered the Barclays/GM Mastercard for an additional $500 savings. The dealership, and especially those 4 people mentioned made a huge difference in my sale, and I was proud to meet and deal with them all. It was a pleasure to meet Medhi, as well. His reputation was outstanding from several past referrals from other known Bob Stahl customers over the years. best Ray Morris 92009

Staff friendly and courteous but very disappointed that I was charged $230. The warning message from car told me to have charging system serviced or may stall on and off over 2 days and when i bring it in nothing was found and I was charged $230. I suppose next time I shouldnt bring it in. Will try to figure it out on my own or maybe next time don’t get a Chevy.

Mo the Saleperson was PHENOMENAL! The manager was HORRIFIC! Mo listened and guided me through steps to accomplish what I wanted to accomplish. I told him I as tight on time and I hate going to purchase a vehicle and spending hours there while everyone is trying to upsell me. I told him I had already recieved an offer from Carmax to purchase my 2020 Equinox for $15k, but to streamline the purchase and just get it done, I'd be willing to accept $14k. I let him know that I had already gone to another dealership and they would not give me $14k for my trade. I sent him a screenshot of the Traverse that I wanted that had a payment of $536 for 84 months. I told him if he could make that happen, I would sign the contract. He asked me if I had time to go in and fill out an application and let the manager take a look at the Equinox, he would work out numbers and let me know. I did that and went home. He sent me a message letting me know that there was fine print on the website that the payment excludes taxes and license fees and it would be more. I then asked him how much more and he said he would get back to me. I didn't hear from him so I called and he said that he manager wanted me to come in. I told him I wasn't interested in going down there if I didn't know what my payments were going to be. He told me he would let me know. He called back and told me that his manager wanted me to go in to talk about the payments. I told him the next call I made was going to be to another dealership if I couldn't get the information that I wanted from him. He told me that he would call me back in a couple of minutes. He called back and told gave me the information. I told him that I wanted to move forward and asked if he could get the contract ready so I could go in and sign. when I got there, Mo brought over other papers with different payments options, with different upsells, and asked me if I was interested and I told him no. He went to go talk to his manager and next thing you know the manager was sitting in front of me and trying to sell me the alarm system and telling me about the door protection and all this other stuff. I told him it wasn't a pleasant experience and I just wanted the payments that I had agreed to and wanted to just sign and leave, I didn't want to spend a lot of time there. I told him that I was almost ready to go to another dealership if I hadn't gotten the payment information that I had requested. He then threw Mo under the bus and told me that Mo never asked him. I think there were a lot of things that went on that were pretty shady. I definitely will not be going back.

I went to Bob Stall for service because my Onstar, internet, etc, worked only intermittently. Kei Kim, the Service Advisor, was very nice and understanding, but unfortunately, she was not the technician working on the car. It also didn't help that Bob Stall did not have the part need to repair my car. I was told they will call me when the part comes in, but they did not know when that would be. When I went to Bob Stall, I could get my GPS to work by using my cellphone's internet. When I left, that no longer worked.

My appointment was scheduled quickly, and my car was serviced just as quickly. The staff was so attentive and kind. They saw that I had brought my work with me, there was a kind gentleman that guided me through the dealership to the lounge where there was a desk so I could work while my car was being serviced.
