Last week, when Chevrolet unveiled the next-generation 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500, the team here was chatting all day about two notable changes: screens and engines. It's easy to see why people are excited. Chevy is calling it the most powerful and advanced Silverado ever, and it's expected to arrive late in 2026. So here's what's getting our customers fired up, and what we can't wait to show you in person.

What's getting people excited about the screens?

This is the question we hear most, and honestly, it's our favorite to answer. The images Chevrolet released showed a passenger-side screen with plenty of streaming apps, including Disney+, YouTube, Hulu, and Tubi. The 2027 Silverado also brings an infotainment and entertainment setup with more than 60 inches of available screen space across the front row, all blended into one clean, edge-to-edge layout.

Here's what that actually means when you're sitting in the driver's seat:

A class-leading 16.3" center touchscreen - big, bright, and easy to read at a glance for navigation, media, and vehicle controls
A 12.2" Driver Information Center right behind the wheel, so your key info is always front and center
A new available, class-leading 11.5" front passenger screen - so whoever's riding shotgun (or keeping the kids happy on a road trip) gets their own connected experience

This is the other big one.
